Pigeonalley — Chrissensia Indriastiti was born and raised in Malang, East Java, Indonesia.
Fine art is her truly passion from a young age.
She learned more about fine arts and the techniques when she majored in Fine Arts Education at the state university of Malang from 2010-2014. During this time she also joined a university art club where she could participate in several local art exhibitions. After graduating university she worked as a freelancer for divers commissions — from drawings, murals, to handcrafting.
In 2016 she came to Germany and two years later she got a possibility to do a 3 years apprenticeship as a media designer. Currently she works as a UX/UI designer in Bremen, Germany, and she’s still doing traditional arts in the meantime.
Chrissensia’s works are inspired by nature and human beings. Working mostly with pencil or pen — which are one of the simplest material in everyday life, she shows her works on the paper as a surreal scene with less color and rough strokes. As a result, her unique works engage the viewer to the little ‚kick‘ of dramatic-expressive feeling.
